"The Three Musketeer" A beautiful  play that we saw last month at the Maipu Theatre, as we do every year with different plays. Very funny and interesting, with contagious songs and a cute love story between D' Artagnan, a dreamer guy,  and Constance, the queens's chaperone.
The hole cast: The three musketeers, the queen, D' Artagnan,
                                                         Richelieu,  Constance and Rochefort.

Using the idea of Alexander Dumas, The stage company changed it a little bit, creating a fantastic play for kids, teenagers and adults.
It tells the story of a young man called D'Artagnan, who dreams about becoming a musketeer. He went to Paris with a letter of his father that used to be one of those brave men. There he met three musketeers called Athos, Porthos and Aramis, when accidentally he turned them angry. But when they realised how brave D'Artagnan was, they became good friends .
Athos, Porthos and Aramis

The story tells how D'Argtanan helped the musketeers to recover the royal sign that had been stolen by   Richelieu, that wanted to had on his hand all the power over France that that ring give, while his heart was being conquered by Constance, a pretty young woman that wanted to help him at everything he needed.

Young and beutiful Constance
The funniest character of the play (based on the laughs of the people) was Rochefort, Richelieu's assistant.  With his dances and his funny voice, the chiledren were laughing almost crying.

Rochefort

A good lesson of friendship represented in a great musical that everyone would enjoy

Finally  for the girls, the "Don Juan" of the play, Athos

"All for one" (lyrics)

ALL FOR ONE
Athos:   All For One, One For All
For many people just a phrase
For us it s not, for us it s life (or death)
Porthos:   All For One, One For All
You save a friend and when you’re in danger,
your friend is there, your friend is right behind!
Aramis:   All For One, One For All
Throughout the land of France you hear it and know
That we are here to defend... (our King and our Queen!)
D’ Artagnan:  All for one, one for all
Throughout the world and times to come
The story told the song that will be sung2
All:   The dream to become a Musketeer for the King! For the King!
